The first event was “Queer the Art”, an art exhibition which opened to large crowds of excitement and support on Friday, June 1st at Show & Tell Concept Shop in Oakland. The exhibition features 18 artists who were juried into the show by members of the LGBT Youth and Family Advocates (YAFA) and the owners of Show & Tell. We had black bottom mini cupcakes and French macaroons at the event. Even Mayor Jean Quan tried our delectable desserts and approved! Attendees looked at the art, sampled our treats (as well as our friend Nickey Her Berries amazing chocolate dipped strawberries!), sipped wine, and chatted with the artists.
We also attended a recent event at Topp’s salon in Oakland, where ladies were invited to be pampered and photographed by boudoir photographer Laquel Wright for the day. We brought the perfect accompaniment to champagne and pampering…CHOCOLATE! Check out the dainty chocolate with fun designs that we brought for the guests. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There was a professional makeup artist, Christine of Makeup by Christine, there to put the extra glam on guests before Laquel took their picture. We had a blast networking with guests and other wedding professionals.
We can’t wait to see what the rest of summer has in store for us!
