When it comes to special occasions it’s hard to think about having a celebration without topping it off with a cake. Guests to weddings, showers, and birthdays alike, all look forward to the type of cake they’ll be encountering for the evening. In the more recent days we’ve seen a move toward cupcakes instead of the traditional cake and as we move forward still, cake designers are opting for mini cakes which can be fun, elegant and sophisticated, depending on the occasion. Mini cakes are so versatile because you can build them into beautiful works of art by using fondant or printing gorgeous designs on plain cakes. I particularly love the dual role mini cakes can play, since you can use them to beautify your dessert display or packaging them up in a pretty containers to give away as a party gift. I have seen so many pretty and creative ones trending on the social media-sphere, that I thought it would be fun to cover them and share them with our readers.
